While the atoll of Majuro has few things to offer, it really is a good base for exploring the surrounding islands.
One of the best known things to do in Majuro is to visit is the enchanting Laura Beach, on the western tip of the main island.
Its a car journey away from the capital – but well worth it, to witness its majestic coral reef.
And Eneko Island is a small atoll about 45 minutes away from Uliga by boat, with great scuba diving – with the boat trip journey making for a fun experience in itself.
You can even arrange an overnight stay at their small cottages and beach huts, as people who see the island never fall short of striking places to explore.
And Majuro is a major sought-after tourist destination for exploratory backpackers, thanks to the brilliant facilities provided by its adventure sports industry – so do make sure you give one of them a try!
